Molded French Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. heavy cream
    3/4 c. superfine sugar
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Brush one 4-cup decorative mold with vegetable oil.
    Combine sour cream and heavy cream in a medium saucepan.
    Beat in sugar; place over very low heat to warm.
    Sprinkle gelatin over water in a cup to soften.
    Place cup in a saucepan with hot water to dissolve and liquify.
    Stir into the warm cream mixture.
    Remove from heat. Beat the cream cheese until smooth in a medium-size bowl with electric mixer.
    Stir in the cream mixture gradually with the vanilla, blending thoroughly.
