Harvard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    medium size can of diced (cubed) beets
Preparation
    Cut beets when sauce is thick and add to syrup.
    Add 1 tablespoon butter last.
