Holiday Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 can pie filling (21 oz. can, choice of cherry, peach, apple or blueberry)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar with fork.
    Beat until fluffy.
    Add vanilla.
    Stir in flour and baking powder; mix until smooth. Butter 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Put mix into pan.
    Cut 16 squares with knife.
    Drop pie filling into center of squares (about 1 tablespoon).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Sift powdered sugar on top when cool.
