Crock-Pot Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. thick applesauce
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 to 3 dashes cloves
    4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. red cinnamon dots
Preparation
    Cook 5 to 6 hours, stirring every 45 minutes. When removing lid, do not let collected water fall back in. Toward the end of cooking time, you can remove the lid so it will thicken. I set it on a cookie sheet or paper bag to collect splattering and make clean-up easier.
