Herbed Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. oregano leaves
    1/2 c. butter, chilled
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cottage cheese
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, oregano and salt.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Blend in cheese, egg and yeast.
    Turn onto well floured surface.
    Knead about 5 minutes.
    Place in a well-buttered bowl.
    Brush top with melted butter.
    Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
    Punch down.
    Shape as desired. Place on buttered baking sheet.
    Cover and let rise again until almost doubled.
    Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
    Makes 14 to 24 rolls.
