Country Coqauvin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut up, skin removed
    3 medium onions or 12 small white onions
    12 mushrooms
    1 bay leaf
    1 cup wine
    Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Dredge chicken in flour mixed with salt and pepper.
    Brown chicken in butter.
    Place chicken in casserole (with a tight lid) with 3 medium onions, quartered or 12 pearl onions, mushrooms, bay leaf and salt and pepper.
    Cover with 1 C wine.
    Put lid on casserole.
    Bake in slow oven (300 or 325) for 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours until very tender.
