Mom'S Lasagne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. extra lean ground beef
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.)
    1 1/2 to 1 c. water
    2 bay leaves
    1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
    salt, pepper and parsley to taste
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 lb. Ricotta cheese
    1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
Preparation
    Cook lasagne noodles. Brown meat in skillet with onion. Stir in tomato sauce, paste, spices and 1/2 cup of water. Simmer 1 hour, adding remaining water as needed. Sauce should be very thick. Mix Parmesan and Ricotta cheeses. Add some parsley to mixture, if desired. Layer in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Add cooked noodles, sauce, cheese mixture and Mozzarella. Repeat layers, then top with a little more Parmesan, if desired. Bake about 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. Let set for 20 minutes before cutting.
