Crisp Pickle Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumbers
    6 medium onions
    2 green peppers
    3 cloves garlic
    1/3 c. salt
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Slice thin.
    Do not peel.
    Add onions, peppers and whole garlic cloves.
    Add salt and cover with ice.
    Mix good.
    Let stand 3 hours, then drain well.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumbers.
    Mix and heat to a boil.
    Put in jars and seal. Makes 8 pints.
