Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. warm water
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. Brer Rabbit baking molasses
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening, sugar and salt together with hands. Take out 1 cup for top of cake.
    Make a well in crumbs.
    Add liquids and fold in.
    Do not beat.
    Pour in loaf pan or cake pan. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
    Bake in moderate oven for 45 minutes or the regular heat you use for other cakes.
