Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 medium apples
    2 heaping tsp. cinnamon
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    3 c. unsifted flour
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 unbeaten eggs
Preparation
    Pare, core and slice apples as if for pie.
    Mix in cinnamon and sugar, let stand.
    Mix all remaining ingredients in large bowl. Beat until smooth.
    Grease and flour tube pan.
    Pour in half of the batter, then 1/2 of apple mixture.
    Pour on other half of batter and top with rest of apples.
    Pour juice from apple mixture over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool 15 minutes.
