Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce, broken into small pieces
    1 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled
    1 pkg. frozen peas (2 c.), cooked and cooled
    1 c. mixed red and green bell peppers, diced
    2 ribs celery, thinly sliced
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced into rings, or 3 to 4 green onions
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    3 oz. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a large, deep bowl, alternate layers of first 7 ingredients, beginning and ending with lettuce.
    Spread mayonnaise on top, sealing all edges.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Cover bowl tightly with Saran Wrap.
    Chill several hours or overnight. Immediately before serving, toss well.
