Ingredients

2 qt. scalded milk
4 pkg. Knox gelatine
4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
2 qt. cream
3 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Bring milk almost to a boil, then soften gelatine in water (2 tablespoons water to 1 package gelatine). Add this to the hot milk. Also add sugar to hot milk and salt. Cool, then add cream and vanilla. For 1 1/2-gallon freezer.
