Molasses Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. lard or shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. dark molasses
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; then add eggs.
Next add dry ingredients with molasses and hot water.
Bake in 7 x 10 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
