Bud Lord'S 5 Lemon Pie(If You Can Unpucker After 1St Bite, You Can Have 2Nd!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 lemons
    1 1/4 cup sugar
    1 cup water
    4 egg yolks
    4 egg whites
    4 tbsp. cornstarch
    Just a little water
    8 tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix lemon juice, sugar, egg yolks and water.
    Heat them. Make a paste of cornstarch and a little water.
    Add slowly to lemon mixture, while stirring.
    Cook until thick, stirring all the time!
    Pour into a baked pie shell.
    Beat egg whites until foamy; add 8 tbsp. sugar, a little at a time.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Put on hot filling, sealing all edges.
    Bake 8 minutes at 400.
    Cool.
    Do not make pie a day ahead of time!
