"Tamale Pie" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. each (chopped): onion and green pepper
    1 c. (14 1/2 oz.) tomatoes
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/8 tsp. each: black pepper and cumin
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 (12 oz.) can corn
Preparation
    In large skillet, brown beef, breaking up with spoon.
    Drain off fat.
    Add onion and green pepper, saute until tender.
    Stir in tomatoes (chopped if necessary), corn, chili powder, salt, pepper and cumin.
    Simmer, uncovered 15 minutes, until thickened.
