Mexicali Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tamales (Old El Paso)
    1 (20 oz.) can yellow hominy, drained
    1 can Vienna sausages, drained and cut into thirds
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
    1/4 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. chopped chili peppers (if desired)
Preparation
    Remove wrappers from 1 can of tamales.
    Cut tamales in thirds. Combine the cut tamales, hominy, sausage and soup.
    Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake uncovered in 350\u00b0 oven 30 or 40 minutes.
    Remove wrappers from second can of tamales.
    Cut tamales diagonally in halves.
    Garnish top of casserole with cut tamales. Sprinkle with cheese atop.
    Return to oven to melt cheese and heat top of tamales.
