Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light cream
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. water or milk (she used water)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Combine sugar, 1/2 cup light cream, salt and flour.
    Add well beaten eggs; mix thoroughly.
    Add water or milk slowly, stirring constantly.
    Cook over hot water until thick and smooth, then add butter and beat well.
    Remove from fire and add vanilla.
    Let cool.
    Pour into a baked pie shell.
    This makes 2 small or 1 large pie.
