Pearl Brown'S Chess Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 egg
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
1 box butter cake mix
1 stick butter
3 eggs
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 lb. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients together; press in bottom of 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Mix eggs, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and salt. Mix well.
Pour over first mixture in cake pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Serves 12 to 16.
