Ready To Eat Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 cucumbers, unpeeled and thinly sliced
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 c. sliced onions
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt over cucumbers, green pepper and onions.
    Let stand for 2 hours.
    Do not drain.
    Mix sugar, celery seed and vinegar.
    Stir this mixture occasionally during the time cucumbers are standing.
    At the end of 2 hours, sugar will be dissolved. Pour cold syrup over vegetables and refrigerate in a covered container.
    They can be eaten when chilled.
    They keep for weeks.
