Norwegian Lamb And Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. shoulder or breast of lamb
    1 large head cabbage, cut in 8 pieces
    2 tsp. whole peppercorns, tied in cheesecloth
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Cut meat into serving pieces; put them in large saucepan.
    Add water; cover.
    Bring to a boil; simmer for 1 hour.
    Remove meat from pan; set aside.
    Leave liquid in pan.
    Layer meat and cabbage in same pan while you sprinkle each layer with flour and salt. Put pepper bag into kettle.
    Cover; bring to a boil.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Serve with boiled potatoes and cranberry sauce.
