Homemade Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    3 lb. onions
    4 hot peppers
    4 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
    2 c. oil
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
Preparation
    Cook tomatoes to soup stage.
    Chop or grind the onions and hot peppers.
    Add to tomatoes and cook for 1 hour.
    Add tomato paste, oil, oregano, basil, sugar and salt.
    Bring to boil.
    Pack into jars and seal.
    Makes 10 quarts.
