Chex And Nut Nibbles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
18 c. dry breakfast cereal (a mix of oat circles and square Chex)
4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (12 oz.) can mixed nuts
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation

In a saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips together, stirring until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the dry cereal and mixed nuts.
Pour chocolate mixture over the mixture in the bowl.
With rubber spatula, carefully mix until cereal and nuts are thoroughly covered.
Sprinkle 1 cup of the powdered sugar and the cinnamon and nutmeg over the top.
Mix until blended.
Add remaining powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, blending until the pieces are all coated with the sugar.
Store in covered containers in a cool place.
Serve as nibbles.
