Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 egg
2 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Combine dry ingredients.
Mix in onion.
Beat egg with milk; stir in.
Drop by small spoonfuls into deep, hot fat.
Puppies will float when done.
Drain on paper towels.
