Apple Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 Tbsp. salt
    8 c. boiling water
    2 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 large apples
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Wash rice; drain. Boil in salted water until tender.
    Drain; beat egg yolks. Add sugar, raisins, cinnamon and salt.
    Pare and dice apples.
    Add melted butter.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Beat egg whites stiff, not dry.
    Fold into rice mixture.
    Pour into greased baking dish. Bake in moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve hot.
