Chicken With Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. chicken, cut into 8 pieces
    4 Tbsp. salad oil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut
    3/4 c. water
Preparation
    Wash chicken and pat dry.
    Heat oil in large skillet; saute chicken until it is well browned.
    Remove chicken from skillet. Add onion and garlic; saute for 3 minutes.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add bay leaf, broth and tomatoes.
    Mix well and add 3/4 cup water.
    Return chicken and sweet potatoes to skillet; simmer, covered, about 40 minutes, until chicken and potatoes are tender.
