Lemon Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. raisins
Preparation

Mix well the first 4 ingredients.
Sift together and add the next 4 ingredients.
Add raisins.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with fork dipped in flour, making a crisscross pattern.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
