Corn-Rice Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. precooked packaged rice
    2 c. cream-style corn
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 chopped pimentos
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Prepare rice with 1 cup water (no salt) as directed on package label.
    Add cream-style corn, eggs, pimentos, onion, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine.
    Put 1/2 of mixture in 9-inch pie pan (or bake dish).
    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated cheese.
    Add remaining mixture and top with 1/2 cup more cheese. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
