Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. bacon grease
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    6 to 8 c. tart (cooking) apples
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Slice apples
    (do not peel).
    Heat grease and butter in heavy skillet.
    Add apples and
    sprinkle
    with
    sugar.
    Fry, turning frequently to avoid sticking, until tender.
