Currant Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. currants
    5.33 oz. can evaporated milk
    1 egg
    sugar
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Blend well.
    Using pastry blender or fork, cut in butter or margarine until mixture is crumbly.
    Stir in currants.
    Combine evaporated milk and egg; add all at once, stirring just until moistened.
    On well-floured surface, knead dough gently, 5 or 6 times.
    Press into an 8-inch circle about one inch thick; place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cut into 8 wedges; do not separate.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
    Serve warm.
