Zucchini Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. zucchini, sliced (unpeeled)
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large can tomatoes (no juice)
    1/4 lb. soda crackers, broken
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    salt
    pepper
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Cook zucchini 5 minutes in small amount of water; drain. Cook onion in 1/2 stick butter. Add tomatoes; cook until thick. Add cheese, salt, pepper and sugar. Put crackers in oven with 1/2 stick butter; stir until well coated. Cover bottom of baking dish with zucchini, then alternate with tomato mixture and crackers. Top with crackers. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
