Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients well in a bowl.
Cut in shortening.
Stir in milk.
Round up on lightly floured cloth-covered board.
Knead lightly for 30 seconds.
Roll dough out to about 1/2-inch thick. Cut close together with floured biscuit cutter.
Fit leftover pieces together.
Pat out and cut out remainder.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
