Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. All-Bran cereal
    1 c. melted shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. boiling water
    1 qt. buttermilk
    5 c. unsifted flour
    5 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Put 2 cups bran into a large bowl.
    Pour boiling water over it and let stand while assembling other ingredients.
    Mix
    in melted shortening.
    Mix remainder of the bran with sugar, eggs and buttermilk.
    Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Combine all ingredients.
    Cover and store in refrigerator overnight.
    Bake as much as desired in muffin tin in a 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
