Ten Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1/2 head cauliflower, chopped
    1 lb. pkg. frozen English peas, thawed
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 pkg. Italian salad dressing mix
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 jar bacon bits
    3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Layer all ingredients in 9 x 13-inch dish in order given. Cover with plastic wrap, then foil.
    Refrigerate until serving. May be prepared a day before serving.
