Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. cherries
Preparation
    Bring sugar, Karo and water to a boil.
    Boil until hard ball forms when dropped in a cup of cold water.
    Pour over beaten egg whites.
    Beat with mixer until thick.
    Add nuts and drop by spoonful onto waxed paper.
    Top with cherries.
