Johnnycake(Journey'S Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c cornmeal
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 Tbsp. molasses
1 Tbsp. melted butter

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into medium size bowl.
Add other ingredients and beat thoroughly.
Pour into shallow greased pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cut into squares to serve.
