Raisin-Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. seedless raisins (dark)
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 c. evaporated milk (low-fat evaporated may be used)
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 eggs or Egg Beaters
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and salt and cook down until a rich brown color.
    Watch closely.
    Add 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk and cook and stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, remaining 1/2 cup evaporated milk and egg yolks (or Egg Beaters) and beat until well blended.
    Add raisins; cook and stir until thick and cornstarch is cooked (about 3 or 4 minutes).
    Pour into baked 9-inch pie shell and top with meringue that follows.
