Cornflake Crunchies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. milk
    2 tsp. orange flavoring
    1 c. self-rising flour
    3 c. cornflakes
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in egg, milk and orange flavoring.
    Stir in flour.
    Add cornflakes and pecans, mixing well.
    Drop from a a tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    Let stand 1 minute to cool.
    Makes 5 dozen.
