Cornmeal Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. less 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 c. less 2 Tbsp. white sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. salt
    crust for 9-inch pie
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Prepare crust and place into 9-inch pie pan.
    In large bowl, combine sugars, flour, cornmeal and salt. Set aside.
    In mixer bowl, combine eggs, butter, milk and vanilla until just mixed (do not form bubbles).
    Combine with sugar mixture and blend until smooth.
    Pour into pie shell and sprinkle top with coconut and nuts.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes, until lightly puffed and golden brown.
    Remove from oven to cool.
    Makes 8 servings.
