Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, separated
    milk
    2/3 c. crushed corn flakes
    5 to 6 c. sliced apples
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cut together flour, shortening and salt as you do pie crust. Mix egg yolk with enough milk to make 2/3 cup.
    Add to flour mixture and form two balls.
    Roll out one ball to fit a 10 x 15-inch (rimmed) pan.
    Put corn flakes on crust and add apples. Add sugar, mixed with cinnamon, to apples.
