Chicken Tortilla Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 whole chicken breasts or 1 whole chicken
    1/2 c. water
    salt and pepper
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 cans green chili salsa
    1 c. milk
    1 pkg. corn tortillas
    1/2 lb. grated cheese
    1 Tbsp. onion
Preparation
    Place chicken breasts in a pan with 1/2 cup water, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer until tender.
    Reserve broth and water to make 1 cup.
    Mix with soup, chili salsa and milk.
    Cut tortillas into 1-inch squares.
    Arrange 1/2 tortillas in buttered dish.
    Top with 1/2 chicken (bite size pieces).
    Repeat tortillas and chicken and pour soup mixture over all.
    Top with onion and cheese.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    (You can omit refrigeration.) Bake at 350\u00b0, uncovered, for 1 hour.
