New England Salmon Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. potatoes
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 small onion, diced
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 3/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. frozen peas
    6 oz. cheese, shredded
    1 (7 3/4 oz.) can salmon, drained and flaked
    2 slices white bread
    2 Tbsp. dried bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook potatoes.
    Cook onion in hot oil until tender.
    Stir in flour; cook 1 minute.
    Stir in milk, salt, pepper and peas; stir until thickened.
    Remove from heat; add cheese.
