Red Hot Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. ripe cucumbers
    1 (13 oz.) pkg. red hots
    1 Tbsp. alum
    8 sticks cinnamon
    3 c. white vinegar
    2 c. lime
    10 c. sugar
    1 bottle food coloring
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in lime water for 24 hours.
    Wash and cover pickles with water, ice and 1/4 cup salt for 3 hours. Drain and wash.
