Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water
2 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Add raisins to water and boil for 5 minutes.
Cool.
Cream shortening, then add sugar.
Add beaten eggs, vanilla, raisins with water mixture and nuts.
Add dry ingredients to raisin mixture.
Drop by full teaspoon on greased pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 60 cookies.
