Mamie'S Favorite Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can milk (1 1/2 c.)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
    3 bars German chocolate
    1 pt. marshmallow cream (2 jars)
    2 c. chopped nuts or peanuts
Preparation
    Combine milk, butter, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil, vigorously boil. Stir constantly to prevent sticking.
    Reduce heat and simmer 6 minutes.
    Put remaining ingredients in a large bowl except nuts.
    Pour boiling mixture over chocolate and marshmallow cream and beat until chocolate is melted. Stir in nuts.
    Pour into buttered pans.
    Let stand a few hours before cutting. Store in metal container.
