Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
4 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Stir together dry ingredients.
Add eggs and milk.
Add shortening; stir.
A heavy iron skillet is ideal for baking and is best heated in oven.
Grease skillet well.
Pour in mixture and bake for 25 minutes at 400\u00b0.
