Meringue Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 or 3 drops green food coloring
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. mint flavored semi-sweet chocolate morsels (1 1/2 c.)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 250\u00b0.
    Cover cookie sheets with aluminum foil. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt in a small bowl until foamy.
    Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.
    Continue beating for 3 to 5 minutes or until becomes stiff and glossy.
    Do not underbeat.
    Fold in vanilla, food coloring and chocolate morsels. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto foil.
    Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until crisp and dry.
    Cool completely on foil. Yields about 3 dozen.
