Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. apples (about 11 small)
    1 c. cider or apple juice
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Wash and core apples; cut into eighths.
    Into blender container put 1/3 cup cider and 4 to 5 pieces of apple.
    Blend on liquify for 5 seconds.
    Open container and add approximately 1/3 of the apple pieces.
    Blend on liquify for 30 seconds.
    Empty container into saucepan.
    Repeat twice more using 1/3 cup cider and 1/3 of the apple pieces each time.
    When all apples are blended, add sugar and spices, then cook mixture over low heat, approximately 45 minutes or until thick, stirring occasionally. Pour immediately into sterilized jars and seal.
