Country Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. smoked sausage
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 can broccoli soup
    2 1/2 c. hot water
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 pkg. Betty Crocker au gratin potatoes
    10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
    4 medium carrots, julienned
    1 c. Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cut sausage into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Cook and stir sausage and onion in oil until onion is tender (about 5 minutes).
    Stir in potato mix, water and pepper.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in can of broccoli cream soup and carrots; simmer until tender.
    Stir in broccoli and shredded Cheddar cheese.
    Cook for 10 minutes or less.
    Makes 4 to 5 servings.
    May be frozen and reheated.
