Ingredients
-
2 1/2 c. flour, divided
2 tsp. sweet basil, divided
1 (1/4 oz.) pkg. Fleischmann's RapidRise yeast
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. very warm water
3 Tbsp. olive oil
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. green onions, sliced
Preparation
-
In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon basil, yeast and salt; mix well.
Stir in very warm water and oil and beat on low speed 1 minute.
Add remaining flour; blend on medium speed, mixing well, about 2 minutes.
Turn out onto lightly floured surface.
Knead 2 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Turn into greased 13 x 9-inch pan; cover and let stand 10 minutes.
Press into pan and, using fingertips, make indentations in dough over entire surface.
Blend remaining 1 teaspoon basil with tomato sauce; spoon over dough to within 1-inch of edges.
Sprinkle with green onions.
Let rise in warm, draft-free place 30 minutes.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
