Southern Fried Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 tender ears corn
2 to 3 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. cold water
2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Preparation

Cut corn from cob.
(Cut top grain, then scrape cob with knife.)
Combine sugar, salt, flour and pepper and add to corn, mixing well.
Add water and mix well.
Heat bacon drippings in skillet over medium to low heat.
Add corn mixture, cooking slowly until creamy (about 10 minutes).
Stir continuously.
Remove from heat and add a little butter if desired.
